After retiring from my gallery, I was in a dry space, and I couldn't get inspired to paint. I ran across photographs I took in 2011 at a car show in downtown Longview, and there it was! At the time I took the photos they did not interest me, but creativity changes with time. I love reflections and painting metal, so this was perfect. The cars are simply vehicles to portray what is happening on their surface. While I have usually worked with the human figure, the car series were a welcome change. I love painting these and have discovered I am fascinated with the motor parts. My next series will be focused on the motors.
