Alcohol Ink

In my alcohol ink series, I explore the fluid beauty of nature through movement, color, and spontaneity. I work on canvas rather than the typical slick surface, allowing the ink to absorb and create softer, more organic textures. The inks are semi-transparent, layering into luminous depth as the alcohol evaporates and the dye remains. This process feels like a collaboration with the medium—I guide it, but I also let it lead. The unpredictability is part of the magic. I'm drawn to the way these works evoke seasons, emotions, and fleeting moments—things we often overlook. My goal is to invite viewers to slow down and rediscover the vibrant world around them.

Return to Nature

Return to Nature is a series of alcohol ink paintings that invites a closer look at the natural world—its quiet transitions, vibrant colors, and fleeting beauty. Using alcohol ink on canvas, rather than the traditional slick surface, allows the pigment to absorb and create soft, organic textures that echo leaves falling, plants withering, and seasons shifting.

The process is part control, part surrender. The ink moves freely until the alcohol evaporates, leaving behind layered, luminous color. I’m drawn to this tension between fluidity and stillness, chaos and calm. Through this work, I hope to rekindle a sense of wonder for the details we often overlook.
